BEFORE computers and phone filters, Andy Warhol created this art form of reproducing images and celebrating them. It was a comment on consumer society. This project is essentially a stamping project and suitable for older students [Teen & up]. Younger students would use a different technique.

MATERIALS

PROCESS

Template plastic
Image
Printing paper
Printing Inks
Brayer
Glass surface
scissor & craft knife
Clear acetate with black outline

Choose an image
Cut a section of the image from the plastic.
Make four prints on your paper
Repeat 4 times with different sections from your image
Position the clear acetate with a black outline over the colored prints
Frame
